Individual Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy means taking care of the psyche; healing the human mind and spirit. A therapist can bring a fresh perspective and a non-judgmental stance that you may not get from family or friends. I can help you to learn new coping strategies to face life’s challenges and together we will explore patterns that you are unable to see and prevent you from living the life you long for.

Somatic Experiencing
My specialty training includes Somatic Experiencing which is a body-oriented approach to renegotiation of trauma, anxiety, and chronic stress. This approach is a gentle, effective way to learn to manage arousal in the nervous system and discharge locked energy.
MBSR
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
I am trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction as one holistic counseling approach to support a reduction of distressing thoughts, emotions, and physiological discomfort. Mindfulness practices help to expand the capacity to be in the present moment and increase resiliency against life’s stressors.

Trauma
Healing from trauma IS possible! The goal in therapy is NOT to relive the past but to regain a sense of control and access to your natural defensive responses. Trauma happens when we experience an overwhelming response to a perceived life threat with an element of feeling helpless. Trauma occurs when we are unable to release blocked energies. It is about what happens in the body that makes an event traumatic.


Anxiety
Anxiety is a normal part of life. However, too much anxiety takes on a life of its own and stops you from having joy and connection with others. Anxiety does not need to affect your self-esteem or keep you feeling stuck any longer. Let’s work together to unhook from the grip of anxiety. We will understand and work with the physiology in your nervous system. No need to be in fight, flight, or freeze mode when it’s not necessary. Let’s help your system feel more at ease.
Depression
Perhaps your appetite has changed or you haven’t had a restful night of sleep in weeks. Do you question what your purpose in life is? Maybe you have lost motivation with simple tasks or even lost your sexual desire. Depression can manifest in mental and physical ways. Depression doesn’t always need a reason or explanation. But with a holistic therapeutic approach you can begin to heal and understand you and your emotions with compassion and insight.


Clinical Supervision
I am a LCSW with 27 years of experience in mental health and social work. I approach the clinical work from a blend of psychodynamic, somatic, and relational theories. I have been privileged in my career to have received excellent mentorship, guidance, and supervision. It is my turn to give back to Social Workers and Counselors. I am committed to your growth and learning, and will offer a safe space to explore the therapeutic work you are doing and help you towards independent licensure in Arizona.
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
There are encouraging clinical research results that show Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) can induce profound positive changes in one’s life, especially for those suffering from depression, trauma, chronic pain, anxiety. Ketamine works as a psychoactive medicine and can create an empathogenic experience, as it interacts with some of your brain’s neurotransmitter receptors. When used in a supervised setting at low
doses, Ketamine therapy is quite safe.
Psychotherapy
In Person
I am offering in person sessions in a friendly and relaxed office space. My office is an LGBTQ friendly safe zone. I strive to provide a comfortable environment where you can feel free to be open and begin the healing process. Therapy will go at a pace which feels manageable to you.
Telehealth
I offer telehealth sessions through video using a HIPAA compliant platform to clients throughout Arizona. I understand that sometimes it can be difficult to fit in an in person appointment, but regardless of how our sessions are conducted, I will provide the best care I can while maintaining your privacy.
